The national president of Copei, Roberto Enríquez, together with the national secretary general, Robert García Prada, participated in a meeting with leaders of ‘Salvemos Venezuela’ (Let’s Save Venezuela) from the states of Sucre, Nueva Esparta and Anzoátegui, who met with the President in Charge, Juan Guaidó, and presidents of various political parties.
Under the slogan “the people united, will never be defeated”, he reiterated that those rejected by the powerful should never be forgotten and explained that saving Venezuela is the challenge. “Let us never forget our fallen comrades. Today we must remember Roland Carreño, Javier Tarazona, Juan Requesens, the exiles, all the asylum seekers,” he added.
He welcomed the President in Charge Juan Guaidó and indicated that he “has endeavored to rehabilitate, recompose and revive the Venezuelan people in this fight to save the country.”
He stated that they will never be willing to cohabit “so that nothing changes and everything remains the same in Venezuela… We will always be willing to coexist so that there are solid institutions, clear rules of the game and equality and opportunities for all,” he added.
Regarding the dialogue process with Chavismo in Mexico, he indicated: “the counterpart has made its demands. We will have free and fair presidential elections as soon as possible so that the Venezuelan people can sovereignly decide who governs in Venezuela.”
